Ram 1500 Features

Ram 1500 MSLP - Bob Allen Frankfort

The Ram 1500 slots in as bold versatile full-sized truck that manages impressive power, tech, and comfort. If you're a Frankfort driver that's looking for a new truck that comes with classic capability and modern convenience and power, then the new Ram 1500 is a great model to consider. The Ram 1500 is available to drivers in seven main trim levels: Tradesman, Big Horn, Rebel, Laramie, Longhorn, and TRX. The TRX is a new off-road variant of the Ram 1500 that flexes serious power and performance features that make it an excellent choice for all things off-road. Whether you're in the market for a new work truck, personal cruiser, or off-road adventure vehicle, the new Ram 1500 is a great model to consider.

What's new

The latest model year of the Ram 1500 sees a handful of changes but refrains from making and huge changes. The new Ra m1500 gets a new Uconnect 5 infotainment system along with two new packages. There's a new Backcountry package and a Limited 10th Anniversary Edition package. Otherwise, the new Ram 1500 is a more or less a carryover from the previous year.

When it comes to power, the Ram 1500 leaves little to be desired. The base engine that comes equipped with many trim levels of the Ram 1500 is a 3.6-liter V6 engine that makes 305 horsepower and 269 pound-feet of torque. If more power is needed, there are three other engine options. If you're a Frankfurt driver that's looking for a diesel engine, the Ram 1500 offers up a 3.0-liter turbodiesel V6 that makes 260 horsepower and 480 pound-feet of torque. If you're looking to stick with a gas engine but want more power than the V6 has to offer, there's a 5.7-liter V8 and a 6.2-liter supercharged V8. The 5.7-liter V8 boasts 395 horsepower and 410 pound-feet of torque while the 6.2-liter supercharged V8 engine touts 702 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque. All engines offer a choice between two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive; expect for the 6.2-liter supercharged V8 engine, which come standard with four-wheel drive.

The Ram 1500 features a robust selection of tech features, with options ranging from straightforward to seriously impressive. The base Tradesman trim level includes a 5-inch infotainment display, Bluetooth connectivity, and a 6-speaker audio system. The Big Horn and the Rebel trim levels don't make any major changes, so you'll likely want to check out the Laramie if you're interested in additional tech. The Laramie makes major strides, replaces the standard 5-inch infotainment display with an 8.4-inch display. The Laramie also gains satellite radio, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, in-vehicle Wi-Fi connectivity, and a 9-speaker audio system. Stepping to the Longhorn trim ensures even more tech, thanks to features like a navigation system. The Limited trim replaces the 8.4-inch infotainment display with a 12-inch display while also adding wireless charging. Separately available tech offerings include a head-up display, a 19-speaker Harman Kardon audio system, and a digital rearview mirror.

Interior Features

Interior comfort and convenience features abound with the new Ram 1500. The Tradesman is a rugged, no-nonsense version of the Ram 1500 that comes with vinyl-trimmed seats and air conditioning. Higher trims offer Lexington drivers features like leather-trimmed seats, heated front seats, heated rear seats, a heated steering wheel, and premium bucket seats.
